Five people in Arizona won $50,000 each in the December 22nd Powerball drawing. The winning tickets were sold at gas stations and convenience stores across the state. The Powerball jackpot for the upcoming December 24th drawing is an estimated $1.7 billion, the fourth-largest in Powerball history.

According to the Arizona Lottery the winning tickets were sold at gas stations and convenience stores in the Valley as well as in southern and northwest Arizona including The winning numbers in Monday nights drawing were 3 18 36 41 and 54 and the Powerball was 7. To win the 50 000 the tickets needed to match four numbers and the Powerball. The odds of winning the prize are one in 913 129. A total of nine Arizona Powerball players have now won big in drawings over the past week as four players won 50 000 in Saturdays drawing. The winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their winnings. Powerball is a nationwide game of chance with drawings on Mondays Wednesdays and Saturdays. Tickets cost 2 each and can be purchased at more than 3 000 locations statewide. No one won the jackpot in Monday nights drawing meaning Christmas Eves drawing will be for an estimated 1.7 billion. That would be the fourth-largest jackpot in Powerball history if won.
