Mega Millions players across the U.S. won millions in prizes, with tickets sold in Arizona, Iowa, and New York matching five winning numbers. The jackpot, which was not won, now stands at an estimated $965 million for the next drawing on November 14.
Mega Millions players across the United States won millions of dollars in prizes just missing the 900 million jackpot lottery officials said. Tickets sold in Arizona Iowa and New York matched five winning numbers but not the Mega Ball in the drawing Tuesday Nov. 11 the national Mega Millions site said. Players in Iowa and New York won 3 million each while an Arizona player won 5 million. The winning numbers were 10 13 40 42 and 46 with a Mega Ball of 1 the lottery said. Nobody won the grand prize which now rises to an estimated 965 million with a cash option of approximately 445.3 million for the next drawing Friday Nov. 14 the national Mega Millions site said. Nearly 810 000 other tickets sold in the United States also won prizes ranging from 10 to 50 000 in the drawing the lottery said. The Mega Millions jackpot was last hit June 27 when a Virginia player won the 348 million grand prize lottery officials said. To score the jackpot in the Mega Millions a player must match all five white balls and the gold Mega Ball. The odds of scoring a jackpot prize are 1 in 290 472 336. Tickets cost 5 and can be bought on the day of the drawing but sales times vary by state. Drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m. ET and can be streamed online.
