This win marks one of the largest non-jackpot Mega Millions prizes in California since 2015 thanks to a built-in 2X multiplier that doubled the prize value. According to the California Lottery the odds of matching the first five numbers and winning a second-place prize are 1 in 12 629 232. The prize is valued at 5 104 960 and the winner has yet to come forward to claim it. Lottery officials will not know the identity of the winner until a claim is filed. Since no ticket matched all six numbers the Mega Millions jackpot has increased to an estimated 60 million for the upcoming Tuesday night drawing.
