A Georgia resident has claimed the nearly $1 billion Mega Millions jackpot from the November 14, 2025 drawing. The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, selected the cash option and received $453.6 million on January 2. The winning ticket was sold at a Publix store in Newnan, Georgia.

ATLANTA (ANFGray News) A lucky Georgia resident has come forward to claim their nearly billion-dollar Mega Millions prize. According to the Georgia Lottery the person who has chosen to remain anonymous drew the winning numbers on the Nov. 14 2025 drawing for the 983 million jackpot. The winning numbers for that drawing were 1-8-11-12-57 with the Mega Ball 7. The winner chose the cash option taking home 453.6 million on Jan. 2. The ticket was sold at a Publix store near North Highway 29 in Newnan. The lucky lottery player said they often buy tickets to support the HOPE Scholarship and Pre-K Program both of which are funded through Georgia Lottery sales. The jackpot winner plans to pass the money down to their family and donate to good causes. Georgia Lottery officials said the prize was the largest in state history.
