The Powerball jackpot has reached an estimated $719 million ahead of the drawing on November 29th. Two $50,000 prizes and one $150,000 prize were won in Massachusetts during the previous drawing on November 26th. The Mega Millions jackpot for the upcoming Saturday drawing is estimated at $7.8 million.
Powerball has reached the games third biggest lottery prize of 2025 ahead of Saturdays drawing according to Forbes.The latest jackpot is at an estimated 719 million Friday ahead of the games drawing on Nov. 29. The cash option on the prize is about 336.3 million according to the Massachusetts State Lottery.The prize amount increased after no winning ticket was pulled during the drawing on Wednesday night Nov. 26. Two 50 000 prizes and one 150 000 prize however were won in the drawing in Massachusetts the Lottery stated.The two 50 000 prizes were both won on tickets purchased at Hancock Tobacco located in Quincy. The 150 000 prize was won on a ticket purchased at Lowell Food Mart in Lowell. Powerball tickets which cost 2 each can be bought until 9 50 p.m. Saturday. The drawing will be held at 10 59 p.m.The Powerball jackpot was last hit on Sept. 6. A 1.787 billion jackpot was split between two winners in Missouri and Texas. That was the biggest jackpot of the year and second-biggest lottery prize of all time Forbes reported. In addition a ticket buyer in Georgia won the Mega Millions 980 million earlier this month. The Megabucks jackpot for Saturdays drawing is at an estimated 7.8 million (5.42 million cash option). This is the games largest jackpot since the game was redesigned to increase prize amounts and players odds of wining in 2023 according to the Lottery. Prior to this the largest Mega Millions jackpot was 6.13 million which was hit on Jan. 27 on a ticket purchased in Rockland. Megabucks tickets are 2 each and can only be purchased in Massachusetts.
