Cheyenne Wyoming Jan. 13 2026 WyoLotto officials announced this week that the January 2026 transfer to Wyomings cities towns and counties is 1 537 737.64. Each quarter WyoLotto transfers a statutory amount of 75 percent or more of net revenue to the state where it is then distributed by the State Treasurer to Wyomings cities towns and counties. This brings the running total to over 45.6 million going directly back to the state from WyoLotto since launch in 2014. This last year has been a big jackpot year for us said WyoLotto CEO Jon Clontz. Powerball exceeded 1 billion twice and Cowboy Draw was over 2 million. When these jackpots get that big our players have a lot of fun trying to win. And the bonus isthat money goes right back to their communities where they live and play Clontz added. WyoLotto has been making quarterly transfers to Wyomings cities towns and counties since April 2016 with a mission to maximize giving back to Wyoming. The company launched in August of 2014 after the Wyoming Legislature and then Governor Matt Mead signed into law the bill allowing the creation of a lottery. The bill also outlined that the creation could not be carried out with any state funding so the WyoLotto Board of Directors and CEO Clontz secured a start-up loan through a Wyoming bank (Jonah Bank). That loan was paid off early in January of 2016 allowing the first net revenue transfer directed by statute to occur in April 2016 for more than 1 000 000. In addition to direct transfers WyoLotto has also paid out over 158 million to 17 million winners.
